Polar Caves Park

Hours:  10 a.m. to 5 p.m.        Price: $$          Group Size: Any

Opened in 1922, the Polar Caves Park is a great attraction to visit with the family. See the inside of ancient caves as you walk across safe stairs and boardwalks. While some of the spaces are tight, the views and fresh air are worth it. After exploring the caves, you can stop at the picnic tables to eat lunch or at the gift shop to buy a trinket.

Polar Caves

There are nine granite caves to explore, each a remnant of the Ice Age. Families of all ages can traverse the caves. You can also rock climb the caves if you're feeling particularly adventurous. Be prepared for tight squeezes and wet floors, so bring a pair of sneakers.

Animal Park

The main attraction at the animal park is the Fallow Deer. Originally from Europe, these deer barely grow taller than three feet tall, making them cute animals to look at and pet with your family. The petting zoo sometimes features ducks, too, which you can feed.

We loved visiting here! Perfect for our little family to do. Followed COVID precautions. My toddlers did just fine climbing through the caves

My wife and I had a blast here. This was unlike any other cave that we've ever been to. You actually hike along the mountainside and they have I believe it was nine different caves that you start at the beginning and you crawl through to the other side some of the spaces get pretty tight but they're all manageable and I'm a bigger guy. This was probably one of our favorite things we did on our entire trip and I would love to go back here sometime

Amazing experience for families. It was tough for our youngest (1 yr, 9 months). The kids thought it was one of the best caves we have done. The caves were all short but having 9 caves with planked paths in between was great.
